How we handle data, and why your documents never reach us.
The most important thing
Your documents do not reach us. We do not receive them, do not store them, cannot read them. Processing happens on your computer, and the engine that performs it has no technical ability to open a network connection.
If you write to us
We process your email address and what you tell us, in order to reply.
If you have an account
Email address and licence data, needed to run the product.
Browsing the website
We use no analytics, load no resources from other domains and normal browsing is not recorded: the server does not keep the addresses of people reading these pages.
If you submit a form
In that case your IP address is kept for 30 days, for one purpose only: recognising automated bulk submissions, which would otherwise make unusable the very channel real people use to reach us. After 30 days it is deleted, while the request itself remains — otherwise we could no longer reply to you.
If you buy
To issue a licence we process billing data. Card payments are handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.), which receives the card details: those never pass through us and we do not store them. Tax documents follow the retention rules the law sets, which apply regardless of an erasure request.
Why we may process them
For the purchase and the licence: our contract with you. For the invoice: a legal obligation. To reply to people who write to us: the consent given by ticking the box on the form, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not process data for marketing and we send no commercial communications.
How long we keep them
Account and licence data for as long as the relationship lasts, and for as long as a dispute remains possible. Contact requests for as long as they are needed to reply. Tax documents for as long as the law requires. The IP address of form submissions for 30 days.
AI chat (optional)
If you connect your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google, the program can send that provider, at your initiative, your document text already protected with placeholders and the messages you write in the chat (also protected before sending). The text goes straight from your computer to the provider: it does not go through our servers and we receive no copy. How the provider handles it is governed by your relationship with them. Your keys stay encrypted on your computer.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection regarding the data we process. Write to us and we will respond. If you believe something is wrong, you may also contact the Italian data protection authority (Garante).
What we never process
- Documents and original text
- Protected text
- File names
- Detected data
- Mapping between placeholders and real values
- Personal vocabulary
None of these ever leaves your computer, so we could not process them even if we wanted to.
